openNURBS 5 Released

openNURBS 5 is an upgrade to the widely used openNURBS C++ and .NET toolkits. The openNURBS Initiative provides over 9,000 CAD, CAM, CAE, and computer graphics software developers the tools to accurately transfer 3-D geometry between applications.

The openNURBS 5 toolkits now support all of the new features in Rhinoceros 5 (and below) native 3DM file format including history, extrusions, annotation, meshes, and images.

The toolkit includes:

• C++ and .NET source code libraries to read and write Rhino 5, 4, 3, and 2 3DM files and read Rhino 1 files. 
• The current Microsoft, Apple and Gnu compilers for Windows, Windows x64, Mac, and Linux are supported. 
• NURBS evaluation routines. 
• Documentation. 
• Quality assurance and revision control. 
• Free technical support.

The openNURBS toolkits are free. There are no restrictions. Neither copyright nor copyleft restrictions apply. No contribution of effort or technology is required from the members, although it is encouraged.
