Tech Crawl
November 10 | 3:00 PM-7:00 PM (EST)

Join your colleagues for a walking tour of architecture and engineering firms, design studios, and software companies. Each crawl includes office tours and presentations on the teams’ processes and practices.

Workshops
November 11 | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (EST)

Spend the day learning practical workflows from design innovators and software experts. Workshops focus on tools and methods that can improve—and expand—design practice.

Symposium
November 12-13 | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (EST)

Hear presentations, discussions, and panels from leaders in AEC design and technology. The two-day program examines current practice and what's ahead for the industry. The symposium is available in person and via livestream.

Hackathon
November 14-15 | 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (EST)

Form a team and build something in a 26-hour hackathon, starting Saturday morning and running until Sunday afternoon. AECtech’s Hackathon is for programmers, developers, engineers, and others of all levels.

Advances in Architectural Geometry (AAG) is a conference where both theoretical and practical work linked to new geometrical developments is presented. It involves architects, engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, software and algorithms designers, and contractors. AAG has become a reference in both research and practice, supported by the direct participation of the most renowned architectural design and engineering offices, as well as research laboratories.

The symposium is a biennial event. It was held first in 2008 and 2010 in Vienna, 2012 in Paris, 2014 in London, 2016 in Zurich, 2018 in Gothenburg, 2020 in Paris, and 2023 in Stuttgart.

In 2025, for the first time, AAG will take place in North America at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA, from November 16th to 19th, 2025.

You can apply if you work in computational design at any scale and level and are from any discipline that focuses on computational design at any scale. 

The CDFAM Computational Design Symposium Series attendees come from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including designers, engineers, architects, software developers, and academics. 

To submit your proposal for a 20-minute presentation or propose a panel discussion, provide the following by June 30:

• Topic: A concise title for your presentation
• Abstract: 100-300 words outlining the core ideas of your proposed presentation
• Bio: A brief biography highlighting your expertise in the field
