Cyberstrak 2.0 for Rhino 7 and 8 - Advanced modeling for product and automotive

Cyberstrak has released a new major version of its Rhino plugin.

Cyberstrak 2.0 contains a lot of new and updated functionality:
  • Licensing has been completely re-worked. In parallel with subscription licensing, support for perpetual licenses is now available using Rhino Account Licensing (Cloud Zoo) or Rhino's LAN Zoo.
  • New commands for creating and modeling Curves and Surfaces are available.
  • Especially when working in "Projection Base" mode on top of a selected Mesh, it gives new possibilities in Reverse Engineering processes.
  • Many detail improvements like a dynamic deviation handle, new mesh area selection methods, or support for using a bunch selected CVs in Cyberstrak's powerful CV.
  • Improved efficient modeling.
  • As usual, all modeling commands contain a local Undo/Redo and can be used in parallel with associative dynamic analyses, allowing instant control of the shape quality.

xNURBS Rhino plugin V7.0 released

xNURBS announces the availability of xNURBS V7.0.

This new version offers several new features, such as the new XNurbsSquare command, a Class A surfacing tool that allows users to specify surface degrees and spans. Other improvements include surface quality and a tension option.

Cyberstrak Modeling - New Plugin for Rhino 7/8:

Cyberstrak Modeling is a new plugin for Rhinoceros.

It contains functionality for the creation and modification of NURBS geometry and meshes like:
  • Modeling of NURBS control vertices
  • Smoothing of Curves, Surfaces, and Mesh areas
  • Surface blend creation
  • Creation of Nurbs surfaces on selected Mesh areas

Focus is easy and intuitive usability. So, all modeling commands offer a local Undo/Redo, allowing easy comparison of different work stages.

There is also integrated analysis functionality that helps judge the current geometry's quality. In addition, analysis commands are available like:
  • Sections through geometry
  • Curvature analysis of Curves and Surfaces
  • Graphical deviation between objects (e.g., deviation display between surface to a mesh)
  • Analysis of transition quality between matched curves or surfaces
The analyses are following associatively all geometry modifications and will be dynamically updated during the modeling process.
