Enscape 4.1: New Enscape Impact add-on, Chaos AI Enhancer and Artistic Visual Modes
Enscape 4.1 brings the power of energy modeling to its intuitive real-time visualization tool. With the new Enscape Impact add-on, compatible with Rhino 8.3, architects and designers can now quickly view their building's energy performance and optimize it within their usual design workflow. The new solution significantly reduces the analysis time to a few minutes.
Artistic Visual Modes adds the ability to create images simulating pencil or watercolor drawings. Users can now create captivating presentations while reducing unnecessary distractions for the clients.
Enscape 4.1. also includes the Chaos AI Enhancer, which leverages the power of AI to elevate the visuals and export better-looking assets, such as people and vegetation, straight from Enscape. The AI engine solution identifies the correct pixel selection, ensuring better results than other AI-generated images.
Additionally, Enscape 4.1 introduces the following key features:
- New glass material and more realistic fog
- Support for machines with integrated GPUs for greater accessibility
- Additional vegetation and people assets
- Access to Chaos Cloud

Enscape: Virtual reality and rendering in shipbuilding
Enscape, a real-time rendering and VR plugin, is featuring how Damen, a family-owned shipbuilding business with headquarters in the Netherlands, uses real-time visualization to optimize its design process.
They have incorporated Enscape into their projects and daily workflow as a virtual reality tool compatible with Rhino.
“One of my colleagues was experimenting with virtual reality, and we wanted to have an easy implementation tool in Rhino. That’s how we found Enscape,” says G.A. Plan Engineer Stefan van der Made.
Enscape was the first virtual reality visualization tool used in the company. While initially it was used primarily for virtual reality walkthroughs, they later discovered the benefits of creating renderings with it.
For details about how Damen uses Enscape within their shipbuilding process, you can read How This Shipbuilding Company Uses Real-Time Visualization to Optimize Their Design Process.

Enscape 3.2 offers dynamic real-time visualization and streamlined workflow with Rhino
Enscape, a leading provider of real-time visualization, 3D rendering, and virtual reality technology for the global AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) industry, recently released version 3.2. This latest update includes many new features that help architects and designers worldwide to transform Rhino models into immersive real-time 3D experiences, creating more vivid real-time visualizations and streamlining workflow.
Enscape 3.2 New Features
- Dynamic asset placement
Users can select, place, and edit assets from the Asset Libraries into their designs via the Enscape rendering window. The Rhino model instantly reflects everything added to the rendering, offering a two-way asset placement. Users can rotate, scale, and delete an asset, and all changes will sync back to the project. Multi-asset placement is also now available to quickly populate scenes with assets such as trees, cars, and people, directly inside Enscape. - Green building assets and materials
Over 250 new assets, including 150 green building assets like wind turbines and solar panels, have been added, in addition to new materials such as organic bricks, recycled plastic, hay plastic, solar modules, solar roof tiles, and more. - New materials and people assets
- Batch rendering of panoramas
- Panorama tours
- Upload management overhaul
- Ray-traced sun shadows in the real-time view
- Windows 11 support

Enscape 3.1 with NVIDIA DLSS support and a new material library
Enscape, a 3D real-time rendering and virtual reality plugin for Rhino, is now available with new features that enable 3D renderings to be quicker and easier and provide fully immersive experiences for designers and their clients.
New Material Library
Designers can choose from over 200 predefined high-quality materials, such as wood, fabric, brick, and tile. These materials can also be imported into the Enscape Material Editor, where various elements can be edited to get the look and feel desired for projects.
New Panorama Gallery
It is easy to share and group multiple 360 panorama images simultaneously, entirely through the web browser, to create a personalized experience when presenting designs. Clients can navigate a project from a web link or even a QR code and visualize multiple rooms or compare different design options.
NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) Support
Users can now enjoy improved real-time performance of walkthroughs and higher frame rates with much lower GPU requirements. The deep learning-based upscaling technique renders internally at a lower resolution but outputs a clean and sharp high-resolution image for high-quality videos and high-performance virtual reality walkthroughs. DLSS is available to users with an NVIDIA RTX graphics card.
With Enscape 3.1, users will also enjoy:
- An improved Material Editor
- Simplified assets
- Ray-traced sun shadows
