BSS Title Edition XIV: Grasshopper that ends inside Revit or Archicad

Edition XIV of the
Building System Specialist Title
September 1
by PAZ Academy

Most parametric training ends where the definition ends: You get geometry, and then you get a problem, because nobody downstream can build from a definition. This LinkedIn session carries the work across the bridge—Rhino.Inside.Revit, or the Grasshopper–Archicad connection, depending on which side of the office you sit on. The output is a coordination model a team can actually work in.

Five months, three parts, eighteen levels: Rhino and Grasshopper foundations, parametric design systems, data structures, automation, optimization, Python, AI, environmental analysis, and the BIM integration above.

Taught online in English, with professors reachable in German, Hungarian and Spanish. Minimum six hours a week with constant personal mentoring. Six hours a week is the honest filter: The software is learnable, the hours are the commitment.

7'470 CHF, installments available, student rate on request. Cohorts are kept small, and seats for this edition are nearly gone.

food4Rhino webinar: Reer – Moving Beyond AI Copilots in Rhino & Grasshopper (June 10, 2026, at 5,PM CEST)

food4Rhino webinar: Reer – Moving Beyond AI Copilots in Rhino & Grasshopper
June 10, 2026, at 5 PM CEST

In 2025, people were still asking whether AI was usable in CAD workflows. In 2026, the question has shifted to how to make it more useful for creative work.

Reer is an intelligent design environment (IDE) for Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and more—where AI can collaborate with you on everything from modeling and analysis to rendering and documentation.

What you’ll see
  • AI in Rhino vs. AI in Grasshopper: Watch Reer tackle the same modeling tasks two ways. Spoiler: Grasshopper doesn’t always win.
  • Turn Rhino into a BIM Tool: Learn how to make Reer master your project context, understand every object, and work like a colleague who already knows your file inside out.
  • AI x CAD Skills: Real-world examples from our users on what worked, what didn’t, and why collaborating with AI is becoming a skill every designer needs to have.
  • A Sneak Peek at the Reer IDE: Cross-file AI workflows, multi-Rhino sessions, Rhino-Revit coordination, and more.
  • Limitations of AI in CAD: Our unfiltered take on where AI still falls short in real workflows, alongside an open invitation for everyone to share their own experiences.

Join the Reer team for an honest conversation about AI in CAD, and walk away with ideas you can put to work today!

Speakers

Connie and Shaw are the co-founders of Reer. As a team of former architects, interior designers, and product designers, they are building the platform they always wished existed. What drives them is simple: using AI to let designers think like humans again in CAD, without replacing the tools we all rely on.

Connie has a background in human-centered design and interior architecture, with degrees from Cornell University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD).

Shaw, also a Harvard alumnus, brings experience from Autodesk R&D, and expertise in robotic engineering and computational design.

EUE - End User Event- Utrecht, Netherlands (June 4-5, 2026)

EUE - End User Event
Utrecht, Netherlands
June 4-5, 2026

EUE (End User Event) is the non-profit event from the CG community – to the CG community.

EUE's goal is to bring together software & hardware vendors, production houses, R&D facilities and other companies active in all aspects of CG, in a relaxed, safe environment, to better understand the needs, possibilities and limitations of our industry. And to foster and facilitate a better understanding and cooperation between the whole ecosystem of Computer Graphics.

Among the great lineup of speakers, Eva Tucek, Designer and Jeweller, will talk about her work and why she uses the Rhino modelling software:

"You all know how to use software. That's not the problem anymore. The problem is – what kind of thinking your tools are quietly forcing on you. Because let's face it, every tool comes with a philosophy. Some are honest about it; others are all-in-one shampoo.

Rhino is a fine luthier's instrument – a violin, perhaps, or a classical guitar. Mathematical in its construction, not trying to do everything, but in the right hands capable of extraordinary expression. And crucially: it rewards mastery over time.

"Rhino won't make you creative. But it will expose whether you are." – ChatGPT

Rhino is one of the few tools where your idea can go from sketch… to object… to something you can physically hold and say: 'Yes, I made this – and yes, it fought me the entire way.' And above all, McNeel & Associates have stayed modest when most other 3D software producers have become very expensive, focusing on costly subscription-based loyalty programmes and offering few real upgrades to their platforms. Let's discuss settings, gemstone light behaviour, NURBS surfaces, render composition, and brand perception in the same afternoon. Rhino will be my weapon of choice."

Upcoming Controlmad's Design and Parametric Fabrication course

Controlmad's course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge of 3D modeling with Rhinoceros and parametric design with Grasshopper, culminating in the
construction of a large-scale prototype as a final project using digital
fabrication tools.

Students go beyond basic 3D modeling, learning to implement advanced
strategies for generating complex structures, analyzing, and optimizing
designs, and interacting with physical environments. The course also
explores CNC manufacturing techniques, including laser cutting, milling,
and 3D printing, allowing participants to bring their designs to life.

The ultimate goal is to create, design, and prototype a compelling
object, sculpture, or functional piece using Rhino and Grasshopper, then
fabricate it with state-of-the-art digital tools.

Now in its 10th edition, the course will be delivered in a hybrid format:

PART I Online
  • 3D Modeling with Rhinoceros
  • Parametric Design with Grasshopper - I
  • Parametric Design with Grasshopper – II
PART II (Onsite or Online)

Window Atlas Graz & Door Atlas Graz – 3D Documentation of Architectural Elements

TU Graz would like to share two recent publications: Fensteratlas Graz and Türatlas Graz, edited by Milena Stavric, Urs Hirschberg, and Britta Nader at Graz University of Technology.

The books document a wide range of historic windows and doors from Graz, reconstructed through detailed 3D models and analytical drawings. The elements are carefully modeled to reveal their construction logic and components—from window frames and shutters to door panels, handles, hinges, locks, and opening mechanisms.

The atlases combine 3D visualizations, exploded views, typological comparisons, and construction details, offering a useful reference for architects, educators, and students interested in precise architectural modeling.

The books are available as free e-books, and printed editions can also be ordered.
