Webinar: The Next Era for the Treble Web App (May 21st)

Webinar: The Next Era for the Treble Web App
May 21st (US Time slot: 9:00am PDT / EU Time slot: 9:00am UTC)

The Treble Web App is a next generation Acoustic Simulation Software.

Join the Treble team for an in depth session on the latest developments in the Treble Web Application and the broader Treble ecosystem. This webinar focuses on new capabilities that improve analysis workflows, expand integration possibilities, and introduce new approaches to material modeling in acoustic simulation.

The webinar will include the integration with Rhino

"Treble’s Rhino plugin streamlines the workflow for simulating acoustics in spaces modeled in Rhino 8. Users can prepare room geometry and upload it to Treble in just a few clicks, then open it in the Treble web app to configure and run acoustic simulations.

The plugin also supports importing existing acoustic models in Treble back into Rhino for editing, making it easy to iterate on the geometry. Looking ahead, Treble plans to build on Rhino’s robust modeling capabilities with additional plugin features aimed at refining simulation model setup."

Rhino2CATT — Create Complete CATT-Acoustic Models Directly Inside Rhino

Rhino2CATT allows acousticians, architects, and designers to prepare complete CATT-Acoustic models directly within Rhino.

Users can model geometry, assign custom acoustic materials with frequency-dependent absorption and scattering coefficients, define sources and receivers, and export the complete setup to CATT-Acoustic with a single click. With its dockable panel, Rhino2CATT integrates seamlessly into the Rhino environment, streamlining model modifications and optimization, making them faster, easier, and fully integrated with Rhino and Grasshopper workflows. Built on algorithms trusted by world-renowned acousticians, Rhino2CATT ensures efficient and accurate model setup.

Key features include automatic geometry export with vertex optimization, custom material libraries, and custom directivity and spectra databases for sound sources. Export your model to CATT-ready files (.geo, .loc) with a single click for a highly efficient Rhino-to-CATT workflow. BIM-based workflows are also supported via Rhino.Inside.Revit, ensuring smooth collaboration between architectural and acoustic modeling processes.

Ideal for designing concert halls, lecture rooms, and other spaces, Rhino2CATT provides a fast, intuitive way to set up and optimize accurate CATT-Acoustic models entirely within the familiar Rhino environment.

Auditorium Acoustics 2025 Conference, Bristol UK (September 8-10)

Auditorium Acoustics 2025 Conference
Bristol (UK)
September 8-10

In the world of concert halls, opera houses, theatres, and auditorium designs, Rhino/Grasshopper is one of the most commonly used and essential tools. In particular, Grasshopper is being used by acoustic designers to test and optimize the geometry of acoustic reflection surfaces and to review audience sightlines directly within the architect's 3D Rhino model.

The Auditorium Acoustics conference takes place every few years at a newly-opened, prestigious performance venue. Previous venues are the Philharmonie de Paris, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Oslo Opera House. This year the conference will take place at the freshly renovated and reconstructed Bristol Beacon concert hall.

Featured are talks on auditorium design and acoustics, including parametric design and optimization. The conference will also include a tour of the new concert hall with live musicians on stage, a session on active acoustics with live demonstrations in the conference venue, and an immersive presentation on the reconstruction and acoustics of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
