We'd like to welcome the Sculpture Department in Savannah College of Art and Design as a new certified RhinoFabStudio.
Pursuant to the mission of SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) to prepare talented students for professional careers, the Sculpture Department uses Rhino as the core of its 3D modeling digital output curriculum. SCAD teaches students the skills necessary to model, analyze, and output high quality finished works using additive manufacturing and laser cutting technologies. Throughout the process students are asked to reimagine the way things are made and how they will reshape the world around them.
Professor Steven Jarvis has used 3D modeling tools for 20 years and has taught the digital based curriculum for the SCAD sculpture department since 2008. In his own practice, Jarvis uses Rhino to model mechanical jewelry and objects.

What is a RhinoFabStudio? A RhinoFabStudio™ (fabrication studio) is a small-scale digital workshop, certified by McNeel, with an array of Rhino and Rhino compatible software and computer controlled tools and training.
