Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology

👤 Language: The event will be held in Polish.
English-speaking teams are welcome to take part in the hackathon and present in English.

Join us for this local informal gathering for people working with Grasshopper, Rhino, and computational design in architecture.

It will bring together designers, architects, students, developers, and computational design enthusiasts for short presentations, discussions, networking, and a 36-hour architectural hackathon.

The weekend will start on Friday evening with presentations by participants and discussions. Attendees will share their own projects, tools, Grasshopper definitions, workflows, or experiments. Presentations can be informal or work-in-progress—the focus is on ideas, process, and exchange.

At 21:00 on Friday, the hackathon theme will be announced, followed by team formation. Over the following 36 hours, teams will work on prototypes, scripts, tools, plugins, web apps, or services that explore new ways to “hack” architectural reality. 

Final presentations will take place on Sunday morning, followed by jury deliberation and the announcement of results.

Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting by Simply Rhino on May 21

 

Simply Rhino has announced the upcoming Grasshopper User Group Meeting (GH UGM), which will take place at Hawkins\Brown in London on Thursday, May 21.

This evening meeting follows on the Hero for a Day Hackathon, a separate event organized by Hawkins\Brown. Details of the Hero for a Day hack and the Grasshopper UGM are both available at the GH UGM event page.

Presentations at the Grasshopper meeting will be from Remap, the Hero for a Day Hackathon Groups, and MKS DTECH (Beam and Rhino Sync).

Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting Notes

Simply Rhino UK has published its detailed meeting notes following the recent Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting at Arup, in London. 

The meeting, which took place on June 18, featured presentations from Arup and Hawkins\Brown, the architects. Vincenzo Reale from Arup kicked off the meeting with a presentation of Mangrove, Manila—the largest glass sculpture in the world. His colleagues, Stamatios Psarras & Miguel Martinez, followed with an Oasys software project. 

The final presentation was given by Elise Colley and Lizzie Terry from Hawkins\Brown, who shared the story behind their project, the Clerkenwell Design Week Arches.

The meeting ended with a Q&A session and drinks!

Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting | June 2025

Simply Rhino is at Arup, London,

 for the Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting on June 18, 2025.

Arup is hosting the next Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting in London. 

Starting with a welcome from the Grasshopper UK Meeting organizers, Simply Rhino, they’ll follow with presentations. First is the host, Arup, followed by a case-study introduction to Oasys, and closing with the presentations from invited guests from Hawkins\Brown. There will also be opportunities for conversations and networking with drinks served from 18:00. 

You must book your place to join this free meeting. Booking closes at 12:00 on June 16. If the meeting is fully booked, you can join the waiting list. They’ll get back to you if a place becomes available.

On Wednesday, 12 February 2025, Simply Rhino held the Grasshopper UK User Group Meeting at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) in London.
