Toy of the Year finalist

The Toy Industry Association has included Nancy B's Science Club's Black Light Illuminator as a 2015 Toy of the Year finalist. The final winners will be announced in New York on February 12th.

Dave Schultze, SchultzeWORKS design studio in Santa Monica, CA, designed the science sleuthing activity kit, using Rhino for all the design work.

The Black Light Illuminator focuses on STEM-learning (Science, Technology, and Math Education) and encourages scientific exploration. Kids can:
  • Collect rocks, insects, and flowers that glow under black light.
  • Make gelatin that glows.
  • Learn counterfeit money detection.
  • Encrypt codes and ciphers.
SchultzeWORKS designstudio has clients in consumer electronics, housewares, furniture, and lighting. Owner and founder Dave Schultz teaches industrial design and 3D visualization at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
