BSS Title Edition XIV: Grasshopper that ends inside Revit or Archicad

Edition XIV of the
Building System Specialist Title
September 1
by PAZ Academy

Most parametric training ends where the definition ends: You get geometry, and then you get a problem, because nobody downstream can build from a definition. This LinkedIn session carries the work across the bridge—Rhino.Inside.Revit, or the Grasshopper–Archicad connection, depending on which side of the office you sit on. The output is a coordination model a team can actually work in.

Five months, three parts, eighteen levels: Rhino and Grasshopper foundations, parametric design systems, data structures, automation, optimization, Python, AI, environmental analysis, and the BIM integration above.

Taught online in English, with professors reachable in German, Hungarian and Spanish. Minimum six hours a week with constant personal mentoring. Six hours a week is the honest filter: The software is learnable, the hours are the commitment.

7'470 CHF, installments available, student rate on request. Cohorts are kept small, and seats for this edition are nearly gone.

Rhino User Webinar: From Footscan to Individual Shoelast

 Rhino User Webinar
From Footscan to Individual Shoelast
September 2, 2026, 4 PM (CEST)

Modern orthopedic shoemaking is moving from the workbench to the workstation. In this one-hour session, Martin Jaeger will show how he uses Rhino 8 and his own custom-built Grasshopper scripts to transform a 3D foot scan into a fully individualized shoe last with integrated orthopedic footbed correction.

Instead of relying on manual plaster casting and hand-finishing, this session demonstrates a parametric, repeatable pipeline that keeps every last precisely matched to the patient's anatomy while dramatically reducing production time.

What you'll see
  • How a raw 3D foot scan is cleaned, aligned, and prepared as a usable base geometry.
  • Building a parametric last-generation workflow with custom Grasshopper components.
  • Applying orthopedic corrections directly onto the last geometry using Rhino 8's native modeling tools.
  • Verifying and controlling dimensions and measurements with Rhino 8's tools throughout the process.
  • Exporting production-ready geometry for milling or 3D printing.

Who this is for

This session is designed for shoemakers, shoe designers, orthopedic shoemakers (Orthopädieschuhmacher), and orthopedic technicians (Orthopädietechniker) who want to bring digital, parametric workflows into last-making—no prior Grasshopper experience required.

Speaker bio

Martin Jaeger is a master orthopedic shoemaker (Orthopädieschuhmachermeister) who learned the craft from the ground up.

For the past 10 years, he has focused on additive manufacturing, and with his company Trans2form, he has made it his mission to lead his trade into a golden digital future.
