July 3-28
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is glad to announce a new online edition of the Global Summer School (GSS) program! This July, the GSS will inaugurate the 15th edition of this globally interconnected summer educational program, reaching students and professionals worldwide to learn and develop projects toward the use of advanced architecture tools.
Within the GSS23 experience, participants can choose between four different online modules, participating in their preferred ones thanks to a flexible workshops model enabling a link between the extraordinary GSS network of faculty, institutions, and industry collaborators.
IAAC GSS offers four online workshops exploring our digital routes within an agile format to investigate the impact of innovative tools that broaden the traditional boundaries defining a new advanced architecture at different scales. Architects, designers, and engineers will be able to conduct multi-level investigations focusing on Computational Design, Design for Robotics—remotely controlling robots in IAAC, Urban Analytics and Environmental Design.
During the GSS23 program, each participant can pick a single module or enroll in the full program, tracking a personal learning path, and being exposed to a virtual class environment. The GSS participants will interact with IAAC faculties, learn new design and fabrication tools, and connect to Global Lectures with experts from the AEC sector throughout July 2023.
Since 2020, the GSS online program gathered together 400 participants ready to engage in a multidisciplinary experience and improve their skills module after module, guided by expert faculties and in collaboration with other participants. This summer, be part of GSS by submitting your application here within May to join GSS with an early bird fee or apply by June 28th as the ultimate deadline.
