Rhino User Webinar
April 5, 2023, at 4:00 PM CEST
This webinar will introduce typical approaches for algorithmic modeling used in the designing of Joris Laarman Studio's products, illustrating how they relate to their design philosophy and visual language and focusing on the parametric techniques behind several large-scale 3D-printed metal structures produced by MX3D. In this
workflow sculptural logic meets a mathematical one in a complex interplay between function, aesthetics, and fabrication constraints.Boyan Mihaylov is a Computational Designer and CAD Specialist at Joris Laarman Studio. Coming from a background in architecture, he specialized in parametric modeling for digital fabrication during his projects with ICD at the University of Stuttgart. For the past eight years, he has provided expertise in the digital implementation of complex designs in various scales, constantly looking for innovative computational solutions for design problems.
