Read Shapediver's interview with Julius, Max, and Paul. They are the minds behind YŪ by YOU, an innovative German jewelry brand that uses computational design to turn any name into a unique wearable jewelry piece.
"The very first version of the algorithm was written in processing and not Grasshopper. Julius spent an entire semester abroad in the United States, where he gained enough knowledge of Grasshopper to develop the YŪ algorithm and design further."

ClimateStudio v1.3 is here! ClimateStudio is environmental performance analysis software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector. Its simulation workflows help designers and consultants optimize buildings for energy efficiency, daylight access, electric lighting performance, visual and thermal comfort, and other measures of occupant health.
ClimateStudio is a plugin for Rhinoceros and requires the latest service release of version 6 or 7.
ClimateStudio v1.3 features include new weather search tools, interactive climate data visualizations, hourly radiation maps, and more. Get the latest release.
ClimateStudio is free for academic use, too!
If you have traveled to Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia was most likely on your must-see list. Started in 1882, the unique and ever-evolving church has a fascinating construction history.
In the 1990s, when we out-of-towners first visited La Sagrada Familia, it was roofless with a few volunteer contractors milling around. It appeared to be a project destined to creep along in our lifetimes. But instead, it has achieved phenomenal progress and engineering design.
ArchDaily documented a nice history of the building of the Sagrada Familia.
It's now functioning as a church, with a projected finish date of 2026.
The Sagrada Familia is still a must-see.

LTI Optics is proud to announce Photopia for Rhino optical design software.
For over 25 years, engineers have trusted Photopia for their illumination and non-imagining optical simulations, and now those tools are available directly inside of Rhino.
The easy-to-use CAD system, superior surfacing tools, and Grasshopper programming language complement the simulation capabilities of Photopia. Optical engineers can use sources and materials from LTI Optic's extensive library to setup accurate simulations of a wide range of optical systems, including architectural lighting, roadway lighting, medical devices, optical sensors, industrial UV curing and disinfection, light pipes, solar collection, aerospace, and automotive lighting, among many others.
