OctaneRender, the fast GPU-accelerated and physically correct renderer, has announced new features and additions for Octane for Rhino:
- Render Rhino fly-thrus in OctaneRender for Rhino with camera motion blur
- Export Bongo animations for rendering in Octane Standalone with camera and object/vertex motion blur
- Additional Render Passes (38 total!)
- Beauty passes, including Diffuse, Reflections, Refraction, Transmission, Subsurface Scattering
- Info passes, including Normals, Position, Z-Depth, Material ID, UV Coordinates, Tangents, Wireframe
- Object ID and Environment
- Geometry Layer passes
- Shadow passes
- Light passes
- Ability to access the Octane Standalone local material library
- Support for Rhino parallel projection cameras
- Many tweaks and performance improvements in the Octane render engine
- OpenCL support
- Volumetric Rendering
- OpenSL (Open Shader Language)
- Deep Pixel rendering and texture baking
