Staying ahead of fabrication with a flow of parts that allow production to stay ahead of the published schedule. Maintaining equipment, supplies and material inventory in a fashion that will assure a leading level of routed parts.
GOALS:
• To have routed parts continuously available for fabrication to stay ahead of production and to be sure all assets of production are busy with routed product for optimum factory output.
• To be sure router data is available at the router in a manner timely to prevent router down time.
• Stay on top of sheet inventory so that material needed for any one project is on hand.
• To be sure all design files and therefore final output, matches the expected design(s) on the order.
• To fully utilize the latest in software and router accessories to optimize router output.

CAD/CAM Operator, Rhino job in California
FabLab House
The Fab Lab House Project, lead by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, the Center for Bit and Atoms - MIT and a world wide network of fab labs, has been chosen as one of participants at the Solar Decathlon Europe competition, which will take place in Madrid in June 2010.
Rhino was a fundamental tool in the design of this project.

Apple 3D Head-Tracking for Rhino
There’s been a lot of buzz in the Apple blogosphere over a patent for 3D head-tracking. Apple recently filed for a technology that allows users to move an object (on a computer screen) by simply moving their head or body. There’s no need for a mouse or keyboard any more; just look behind an image and it will rotate with you. To help visualize this, Software Advice put together a video of how this could be used in 3D modeling.

Project Kangaroo - Live 3D Physics for Rhino/Grasshopper

MAG LAB Studio Digital Architectural Tools
Dr. Alberto Estevez, founder and prime director of “ESARQ” Universitat internacional de Catalunya and director of Phd and Master Programs of Genetic-Biodigital Architecture, invited MAG LAB to do a studio in Biodigital Architecture Master of 2009, under the title of "Studio Information Systems-Digital Architectural Tools - Towards New Architectural Forms and Tectonic".
The studio commenced February 2nd and was held by Professor Aref Maksoud, manager of MAG LAB, a part of the Maksoud Architectural Group.
Many of the students used Grasshopper and RhinoScript for their projects.
