Eco"logic" skyscraper design using Grasshopper

In the prior post, you saw Christian Raun Jepsen's final project at Aalborg University. In January 2009, Christian started his postgraduate studies at Universidad International de Catalunya in Barcelona, ESARQ, where he is focusing his studies on Biodigital approches to architecture.

One of his first projects is the Eco"logic" skyscraper using Grasshopper.

Parametric bridge using Grasshopper

Christian Raun Jepsen and Mathias Kræmmergaard Kristensen have been kind enough to share all the details of their final project at Institute of Architecture and Design, Aalborg University. Living bridge is a parametric approach to architectural design. The aim is to develop and test methods of parametric design and digital/analogue form finding through the design of a bridge situated in Aalborg. Grasshopper was used as a tool to create parametric geometry and to analyze acoustic and structural analysis.

LaN BROOKLYN announces Rhino Workshop

Live Architecture Network has accepted the design challenge presented by Architecture Gallery SuperFront to synthesize Architecture and Choreography in a Project deemed Archeography IV. Working in Collaboration with Choreographer Biba Bell, LaN is designing and fabricating a site + performance specific installation as a part of the 2009 Movement Research Festival.

Join LaN and become part of the process during a week long Rhino training workshop. All skill levels and Rhino new comers are encouraged to join. The workshop will emphasize a total integration between digital modeling and fabrication. Parametric design and fabrication will be a key topic of discussion through using programs like Grasshopper and RhinoCAM.
