DATA TREES / Introduction to computational design in architecture

DATA TREES is a computational design workshop for beginners.

It is designed as an introduction to visual programming with Grasshopper, oriented to architecture and design strategies. In two days you will explore the main functions of Grasshopper and apply them to the architectural design process.

The workshop starts with a lecture by Francesco Cingolani about computational design and parametric architecture. Included are examples of built projects in which Grasshopper has been intensively used, such as the main façade of the Philharmonic Paris Hall and the New Department of Islamic Art in the Musée du Louvre in Paris.
