Interior137 Architects - Lighthings

Architects Ana María Bustamante and David Vanegas are the founders of Interior137 Architects. Interior137 is a company in Medellín, Colombia, composed of a team of professionals, architects and designers specialized in exterior and interior lighting design.

Their new brand, Lighthings, is in response to the concerns, experiences, and desire to experiment with light and geometry. Lighthings goal is to create unique luminous objects, halfway between digital fabrication and craftsmanship. These objects are designed to transform the environment through light, shade, textures, color, materials, filters, reflections, shape and geometry.

The company uses Rhino to visualize figures in 3D and make fast renderings. As well as Grasshopper to parameterize the measurements, sizes, and relationships between the forms and the applied textures. With Rhino and Grasshopper, they can design, explore and fabricate their lamps.
