How to Teach Grasshopper Fundamentals, 4-5 and 7-8 November 2024
A four-day course introducing a methodology on teaching the fundamentals of algorithmic design and data structures for computational design using Grasshopper.
Rajaa Issa is a software developer at Robert McNeel & Associates and the author of several geometry and Grasshopper guides on Essential Mathematics, Algorithms and Data Structures, and C# Scripting.
Learning Objectives: After the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Whether you are a current user of Orca3D Marine CFD or interested in becoming a user, this Orca3D Marine CFD workshop is for you! The workshop will help you improve your designs using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). CFD has proven to be a very useful technology for marine design, and its use is now becoming widespread throughout the small-to-mid-size boat design community.
The Orca3D Marine CFD workshop is held with the IBEX show in Tampa, Florida. Registration for IBEX is now open and is part of the IBEX Attendee Registration process (in Step 6, Education, under Pre-Conference Sessions). This is an in-person event; no streaming or recording will be available.

Join Thornton Tomasetti | CORE studio and USC on September 20-22 as they host the second AECtech+ Los Angeles. This in-person event will be held at USC in downtown Los Angeles and is open to students, professionals, hackers, and everyone interested in technology in the AEC space.
Kick off the weekend early on Friday with a round of Workshops taking a deep dive into new software/workflows within the AEC space. These 3-hour workshops will give you the foundations to implement these technologies at the office or in the Hackathon. Workshops include a comprehensive walkthrough of Web API calls from Grasshopper with Swiftlet by its author Sergey Pigach and an introductory crash course in AI, specifically LLM and NLP for the AEC Industry with Omid Sajedi from CORE AI.
