David Gillespie and James Pearson of Grimshaw will join Chaos Group CG specialist Mikel Jagan for an exclusive tech demo of the upcoming V-Ray 3.0 for Rhino. They will give plenty of tips and tricks on visualization workflows.

Robots.IO will show you how easy it is to program a robot using the IO plugin. Join them in the hands-on area where you can use Rhino and Grasshopper to quickly program the robot. Come and speak to Robots.IO to find out how you could use a robot for your next project.

PNY NVIDIA and Scan Computers
Feel free to bring your Rhino models and V-Ray for Rhino scenes to see how they perform on the latest hardware. Scan Computers will be showing two machines with PNY NVIDIA Quadro graphics acceleration.

Experience the latest natural interface devices from Wacom including the 27” Cintiq, the Cintiq Companion, and their Intuos Tablets.

VisualARQ from Asuni CAD
Asuni CAD will be on hand to demonstrate VisualARQ. VisualARQ imports and exports IFC files to exchange architectural BIM models between Rhino and other AEC software like Revit, ARCHICAD, Tekla, etc. The Grasshopper Components add-on allows you to work with VisualARQ objects directly from Grasshopper.

Rhino user meetings in Washington DC

There is a new group for power users of Rhino, RhinoScripting, and Grasshopper in the Washington DC area. Designers from architecture, engineering, marine design, fashion, jewelry design, CAM fabrication, rapid prototyping, graphic design, and multimedia are all likely members.

Andrew Cocke, a professor and designer practicing in Washington DC, New York, Taiwan, and China, has organized the group on Meetup. Meetup is an online community that enables offline local group meetings.

T-Splines User Group Meeting in Vancouver, BC

Register now for the first ever T-Splines for Rhino User Group meeting/Level II training on Thursday, August 11 in Vancouver, BC. Meeting will be held immediately following the SIGGRAPH conference.

The agenda features training in the morning and user presentations in the afternoon. The event is designed to send you home with both the inspiration of seeing how to use T-Splines to make better organic models, and the point-and-click skills to actually get it done.

Aeroplane modeling with Rhino by Equation Models kits



In the recent Rhino User Meeting Lyon 2009, Géry Gueville from Equation Models kits made an incredible presentation and showed us the entire process how he manufactures aeroplane models, from the initial blueprints and surfaces to the final kit, including profile generation, curvature analysis, assemblies, CNC milling and visualization.
