Nowadays, parametric modeling and digital fabrication help architects, designers, and engineers around the world in the renewal of
building modes. With the spread of numerical control machines over the
last two decades, the more organic forms have become more accessible.
This workshop will explore the parametric design and benefits of new
manufacturing technologies in creating modern and unique furniture. With the
aid of these new technologies, it is possible to create more complex forms and
simplify their execution.
This workshop is intended for architects, engineers, designers, and
students of these areas, who have basics of 3D modeling (in any software).
Rhino and Grasshopper tools will be introduced
for modeling and also digital fabrication with a router CNC and 3D printer.
What is a RhinoFabStudio? A RhinoFabStudio™ (fabrication studio) is a small-scale digital workshop, certified by McNeel, with an array of Rhino and Rhino compatible software and computer-controlled tools and training. These tools cover the various leading-edge industrial methods and materials needed to design, analyze, and fabricate almost anything.
