Job opening: Architect with focus on computation and complex geometry


MARC FORNES / THEVERYMANY is looking for a full-time junior architect with a strong focus on computation and complex geometry.

Following a series of new projects, MARC FORNES/THEVERYMANY is seeking two applicants for full-time design positions in their studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York.

MARC FORNES/THEVERYMANY specializes in site-specific art and architecture, exploring the intersection of spatial experience and ultra-thin lightweight structures. Their method is deeply rooted in computational research and digital fabrication. They are currently working on projects across the US (Florida, Texas, North Carolina, California), Canada, China, and Taiwan. More information about the studio can be found at theverymany.com.

Successful candidates will be involved in advanced 3D modeling in Rhino, development of custom computational strategies, the creation of 2D documentation, rigorous material research, and testing of large-scale physical assemblies. Candidates should be collaborative yet self-directed, and capable of working under tight deadlines. Bachelor or Masters of Architecture required. Fluency in written and spoken English is required and knowledge of French is a plus. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications:
Excellent proficiency in Rhino 3D modeling
Advanced skills in Grasshopper
Python / Processing skills a plus
Digital fabrication experience preferred
Excellent rendering and image-making skills
