RESHAPE17 | Wearable Technology Competition: Programmable Skins

Wearables are becoming an active, supplemental skin that not only protect our body but also facilitate functions such as growth, movement, respiration, and nutrition or rehabilitate the environment.

Becoming a new medium able to regulate the relationship between our body and its surroundings, wearables can now collect and exchange information producing dynamic outputs. Reshape aims to enhance these impulses in fashion design, proposing a new challenge to makers and designers: Reshape 17 | Programmable Skins Competition.

For the 2017 edition, Reshape is collaborating with IN(3D)USTRY - From needs to solutions, an event organized by Fira Barcelona, to foster the use and adoption of Additive & Advanced Manufacturing Technologies by promoting the interaction between top users with manufacturers and service providers by sharing success stories and technological needs and limitations.

In this occasion, Reshape will coordinate multiple appointments: the Reshape Awards ceremony, celebrating the winners from the competition; the Reshape Symposium with cutting-edge speakers representing innovative companies, presenting their practices; the Reshape Exhibition, showcasing innovative products and projects revolutionizing the fields of fashion and design.
