The latest OctaneRender for Rhino


OctaneRender, the fast GPU-accelerated and physically correct renderer, has announced new features and additions for Octane for Rhino:
  • Render Rhino fly-thrus in OctaneRender for Rhino with camera motion blur
  • Export Bongo animations for rendering in Octane Standalone with camera and object/vertex motion blur
  • Additional Render Passes (38 total!)
    • Beauty passes, including Diffuse, Reflections, Refraction, Transmission, Subsurface Scattering
    • Info passes, including Normals, Position, Z-Depth, Material ID, UV Coordinates, Tangents, Wireframe
  • Object ID and Environment
    • Geometry Layer passes
    • Shadow passes
    • Light passes
  • Ability to access the Octane Standalone local material library
  • Support for Rhino parallel projection cameras
  • Many tweaks and performance improvements in the Octane render engine
Future features of Octane 3 were also announced. These include:
  • OpenCL support
  • Volumetric Rendering
  • OpenSL (Open Shader Language)
  • Deep Pixel rendering and texture baking
