We will be hosting 2 days of lectures on January 16-17, 2015 at SCAD. Presenters will talk about their professional fields and how they use 3D modeling and design in real life projects ..... from marine design, to product and furniture developing, set designs and artful architecture. Join us and discover the principles of design interactivity. Learn how to rationalize complex geometry into a format suitable for analysis and fabrication. Or encounter the evolving transitions of design environments in Rhino and Grasshopper.

  • The 2-day conference fee is $100, but if you are a student or a faculty member, you'll receive a Rhino 5 Educational license with the registration (Proof of status required. The regular educational license price is USD $195).

I have just begun Rhino. One thing is that the shortcut icon that appears on the desktop is somewhat faded ie its not as bright as I thought it would be for Rhino unlike the other icons I have in n of CAD n related software DOWNLOADS\APPLICATIONS.

I bet you're seeing the temporary .rhl file which is visible when the 3dm you're working on is open. Please send a screenshot to tech@mcneel.com or make a post on the Rhino user forum http://discourse.mcneel.com/ for more help.
