Held every two years, CAAD Futures is the place where the future of computer aided architectural design is earnestly discussed. It was in Liege, Belgium this July.
One of the highlights was the Parametric Robot Control Workshop by Sigrid and Johannes from Robots in Architecture, who demonstrated how to link Grasshopper to a Kuka robot (hopefully they will launch the Grasshopper component shortly).
Daniel Davis was there to present a paper looking at ways to overcome parametric inflexibility by using modular programming. Daniel also wrote a detailed review of the event.
