The Dum-Dum Workshop Series 1 (WS1) will be held in Temuco, Chile the week of April 25-29, 2011.
Using Rhino and Grasshopper, attendees will learn how to develop "Responsive Skins" through the manipulation of generative design strategies. These skins are a new type of structure capable of adapting to different geometric and topological configurations over their environment. WS1 participants will also learn to develop mapping and diagramming tools, including environmental agents (solar radiation intensity, orientation, etc.) and human interaction patterns (pedestrian flows, levels of occupancy, etc).
